Right after this match I booted Maplestory M Mesos
Right after this match I booted up to Maplestory M Mesos position 10, and then position 11 where I'm at today. In my first few games now the best I could afford was kills and an A+ grade, and that's fine. However, what I observed in the other players in the last 40 was a very different playstyle than that which I had seen the night before.
The other players around the map were concealing a whole lot more, and moving a lot less. They responded to the sound of footsteps more intelligently. The final engagements played out quite differently, with nearly all players sticking into the edge of the circle and just sometimes poking their heads out of cover. Essentially, people were enjoying more like ... people. They were displaying the kinds of strategies and behaviors that have been shown effective in the year since Battlegrounds went reside on PC.
And that's fine. I didn't have any less fun. In reality, I had more fun getting fewer kills and end up with a sixth spot because the enemies had been behaving in harder ways.
But does this mean I was just killing off bots mmogdp until position 10? Not automatically. But rumors are flying about. Other folks at Polygon have their own feelings, and right now there's an assortment of dozens of threads on Reddit filled with players who are simply astounded at their capability in the game straight from the gate. That is sending all types of red flags in the community.
