Whether or not you will become Thanos at the beginning of the game mostly comes down to fortune: the Infinity Gauntlet will drop down someplace on the map, and whomever is nearby will likely go grab it. It shows up on both the map and radar, so expect a struggle if you're near it. Whoever picks up the Gauntlet transforms to the Mad Titan: enormous, demanding, and strong.
